Mother's Day 2011

Well Mom, I didn't send you a card this year or get you flowers, which I don't remember a time that I ever did, which really makes me bad I guess as a son. I have to say though, that you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Because if it wasn't for you, then I wouldn't be here saying this today. Your journey and experiences in life have been full of so much highs and lows, happy times and sad ones. Yet through it all the only thing I remember is you and your smile. You have been there for me and as you have seen on my facebook profile picture, it is of you tying my shoes. I would have to say that that is my most favorite picture of you (and me). I am sure I have said it before but my experiences with you when I was a teenager were awesome. We ate Dion's Pizza so much and went to movies. I remember taking the public bus to your work so we could go to dinner or a movie and whatever, but still it was with you. Even after I got my license and I worked at Windrock6 theaters, we still went to movies and did things together. I wasn't embarrassed to be with my mom, but proud. I am not sure how much I made your life hell but you made my life awesome, with all the opportunities and challenges you gave me and provided me. Even now to this day you are there for me to help me out and to listen and respond and provided guidance as my mother.

So I wanted to do something to recognize you as my mother and who you represent to me in my life. I found my little baby shoes and spoon and the little guns you bought when (I am guessing) we went to Yellowstone park. I also found the piece of cement that we took from the old ghost town from Independence CO. I cherished that thing and thought it was so cool and I remember taking it to school and showing it for show and tell. I also found my hand print that was taken when I was in Kindergarten. All I can say mom is that you raised me to help me be who I am. And at times I feel so inadequate and that I feel that I don't even compare to you as a parent. So many times still I feel like that little kid, with that hand print. I would have to say that not a days goes by that I don't think of my childhood and some type of memory whether it was in CO or NM, it has some connection of you in my life.

So now here I am today, 40 years old and missing my mom, and wishing she was here and yet I know that you are only a phone call away or a quick text. Soon though, very soon I look forward to seeing you in the House of God along with Stacey and Tamra, Carla and Sandra. So on this day that we are to remember moms, all I can say is Happy mothers day and I love you mom!

Well I am back and yes I was gone yet again for almost seven weeks. This time I went to NCOA down in Colorado Springs. So I got back last week and I can't believe how fast time flies. In two days is Christmas. Usually I try to sit back and take it all in and enjoy the time of year. I usually drive Stacey crazy. This year though, nope.....CRAZY!!!!!! Anyway. Hope you all have a great holiday and remember the true meaning of the season the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!

Here are some pictures of me when I was at NCOA.

She

Well SJ came into my life and when she did she brought a light that shined so much brighter. She also brought her sense of humor, love and sexiness. spirituality and Utah personality that also included music. I know I got her hooked on U2, but she got me hooked on Collective Soul even without it being her favorite group. Not just one song, I liked them before but I started to like the band and it's music as a whole. Now I have all there stuff and several songs are Stacey. There is no easier way to say it then that Stacey is in so many of there lyrics. They recently releases a new cd, and one song on there is called You. I have been searching for it to put on my playlist, but no luck. My iTunes though, has it listed as the highest played song. I have never connected to one person so much that also included music. From The Verve Pipe, to U2, to INXS, to Collective Soul. Those are only a few. There is a ton more. Anyway Enjoy the season, enjoy the time and enjoy what is present no matter the situation or circumstance. So Anyway, I love you sj!

That time of the year.

Well It That Time Of The Year!!! Fall is on the way, football has started, I swear for me some of the best memories I have are watching college football on tv as a kid or going to games with my dad when I lived in Albuquerque. Anyway, SJ says I am crazy, I do go crazy, we bought I think close to ten candles over the past couple of months from Yankee candle.

(Some awesome pics from 4 to 5 years ago!)

some awesome games this past Saturday and yes Sunday with the miracle catch, and now all we have to wait for it for the leaves to change and the smell to appear in the air of the crisp but mild days to appear where you know it is on and Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas is on the way. Not to mention two more birth days and an anniversary.

We have been having fun this year, as a family we have been watching WWE wrestling. John Cena, DX, Randy Orton, Legacy. I know it sounds stupid but it is a family activity and all the boys are going as one of the dudes from WWE. Anyway just wanted to update, say hi and show I am alive. So if your not down with that then I have just two words for you...............

Memorial day

Well this has always been a special day in my heart. Don't know what it started at such an early age. Maybe it was watching all the war movies with my dad as a little kid or reading books about WW2. Anyway, I guess with the way I am joining the Air Force was a logical choice in my life. I have been to Iraq and Korea. My serving doesn't compare to those who sacrificed everything to give us our freedom and those in those country their freedom too. My back ground of this blog is of a foot soldier from WW2 and the banner Stacey made is from the D-Day landings. So if any veterans out there reads this blog or to those who stop by I just wanted to say thanks for your service and my memories are with those who gave their life for this country. I hope to make it Arlington cemetery someday and the beaches of Normandy to see the cemetery there too. God bless this country and may we never take for granted the freedoms we have!!!!
